Terms of Service

1. Operator and eligibility

Criminaler is operated by IT Sebastian Domagała, a Polish sole proprietorship. The service is intended only for adults aged 18 and over because it concerns real murders and other violent crimes. Do not use Criminaler if you are not legally permitted to do so.

2. What Criminaler provides

Criminaler is a true-crime knowledge game. It offers clue-based quizzes, an AI-assisted investigation game, and a map of case files. It does not provide investigative, legal, medical, or safety advice and is not an official investigative or legal record.

3. Real-case content

Case material is provided for entertainment and general information. It may be incomplete, disputed, outdated, or contain errors. Criminaler aims to distinguish convictions and official findings from allegations, suspects, disputed claims, and theories, but does not guarantee that every item is complete or error-free.

Use the correction workflow on the Support page to report a concern. Do not use Criminaler to harass, threaten, identify, or target any person.

4. AI Investigation

AI-generated replies may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent. Do not rely on them as facts or advice and do not enter personal, confidential, or sensitive information. The feature may be unavailable when a privacy-compatible AI endpoint is not available.

5. Anonymous access and your responsibility

Criminaler does not currently require an account. The app creates an anonymous device identifier used for progress and service operation. You are responsible for access to your device and for lawful use of the service. Resetting local data may make earlier progress inaccessible.

6. Tickets and Detective Score

Tickets are the spendable in-game balance used to access certain features. They are earned through gameplay and rewarded ads and are not currently sold. Tickets have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred, and grant only a limited ability to use game features.

Detective Score is a separate, non-spendable progression measure. It is not a currency. Criminaler may prospectively change feature costs and reward rates and may correct ticket balances affected by error, fraud, abuse, or failed reward verification, without arbitrarily removing legitimately earned balances.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not attack, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass protections of the service except where applicable law expressly permits.
• Do not exploit reward verification, impersonate others for abuse, submit unlawful content, or use the service to threaten or harm.
• Do not misuse true-crime content to harass victims, relatives, witnesses, suspects, or other people.

8. Changes, suspension, and availability

Criminaler may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict abusive or harmful access. The service is provided without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free availability. These provisions do not remove mandatory consumer, privacy, deletion, or future paid-item rights.

9. Intellectual property

The Criminaler name, original interface, software, and original content are protected by applicable rights. Third-party facts, marks, and materials remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms grant only a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service.

10. Liability and mandatory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Criminaler is not responsible for indirect loss caused by reliance on entertainment content, AI output, third-party availability, or misuse of the service.

11. Privacy and termination

The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and how to request deletion. You may stop using Criminaler at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive—such as intellectual-property, enforcement, and dispute provisions—continue after use ends.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by Polish law. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence. Disputes will be handled by courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
